Bullfrog Blues Club, Thurs. 15th June - King Rollo's Upfoot Blues Band. King Rollo, from Hull, has built up a great following at The Bullfrog with his solo gigs. Rollo blends the traditional with the contemporary and in performance presents a unique and entertaining show which rarely fails to intrigue an audience. He has appeared on BBC Radio 2 and Yorkshire TV and makes regular appearances on local radio stations throughout the UK. This time he's back with a band, for the very first time! King Rollo's Upfoot Blues Band consists of bass and drums, (and occasional harmonica from special guest Trev Thwaites from The Jellyrollers) but diehard fans neeedn't worry, the definitive King Rollo sound still shines through. In June this year King Rollo's Upfoot Blues Band supported Country Joe McDonald and The Country Joe Band in Sheffield and Skegness. To quote the Woodstock legend himself - "This guy's GOOD!" There will also be support from Kevin Ryan, a new face on the local blues scene, who will be accompanied by our very own Andy Broad. Doors open at 8 p.m, and music will start around 8.30.p.m. See you there!
