THE JIVE ACES appear at The Bullfrog Blues Club South Parade Pier, Southsea
TONIGHT - Thursday, 29th January.
The Jive Aces, the UK's top Jump Jive band, make their first appearance at
The Bullfrog Blues club on South Parade Pier, after a superb gig at the Pier
last year. Jump Jive can best be described as a mixture of R & B, swing,
rock'n'roll, boogie woogie and blues.
Since forming in 1989 this fully professional six piece group have starred in
TV, radio, festivals, theatres, and numerous high profile events throughout
Britain, Europe and the USA, including the Lord Mayor of London's spectacular,
Amnesty International shows, The Royal Ballet's 50th anniversary and most
notably as part of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic celebrations.
Renowned for their high-energy and spectacular stage show, The Jive Aces have

fresh arrangements of classics from the jive era - songs made famous by such
greats as Louis ("Five Guys Named Moe") Jordan, Cab ("Minnie the Moocher") Calloway
and Louis ("Just a Gigolo") Prima - along with their own superb original
jive style numbers.
The Jive Aces have appeared on TV from BBC1 to Monte Carlo to South America
