HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE FROM THE BULLFROG BLUES CLUB!
Hope you had a great New Year and a very happy Xmas!
We're back in style this Thursday 8th January at The Bullfrog Blues Club on
South Parade Pier Southsea with the fabulous LYNDON ANDERSON BAND, bringing
you the best in modern, funk edged blues!
This York based band, formed back in 1996, specialise in harmonica driven
modern high-energy blues. Lyndon Anderson (harmonica and vocals) is constantly
refining his playing, pushing the boundaries of established harmonica styles.
Employing a variety of techniques he has developed a distinctive jazz infused
style that shows a mastery of both diatonic and chromatic instruments.
Lyndon Anderson, has joined together with John Whitehill, (UK Blues Guitarist
of the year 1997, 1998, 1999) to create a new breed of band. Blending
elements of jazz, soul and funk together with a big chunk of the blues, the band
creates a sound that has been described as "a sure cure for the rhythmically
deficient!"
The band also feature Dave "Duke" Dormand, (guitar), Roy "Blank" Banks,
(keyboards, and backing vocals), Bill French (bass & backing vocals) , and John
Sellars, (drums and backing vocals.
Doors open as always at 8 p.m, and tickets available on the door for just £7.
