THE CADILLAC KINGS - the number one swing/blues outfit playing in the UK -
are at The Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, this Thursday, 16th Dec.
Mike Thomas fronts the band on vocals and slide guitar. The co-founder of
The Poorboys, Mike's shared a stage with Los Lobos, The Fabulous Thunderbirds,
Georgie Fame, Dr Feelgood and many more.
Gary Potts is widely recognised as one of the UKs best harp-players and plays
both classic amplified harp, both diatonic and chromatic harps.
Guitarist Oliver Darling plays with a style reminiscent of T-Bone Walker,
B.B.
King & Pee Wee Clayton, Junior Watson & Ronnie Earl and is also a pretty
good boogie pianist!
Double bassist Orlando "Orly" Shearer was previously with The Otis Grand
Band and has worked with James Hunter, Big Joe Louis, Errol Linton and The
Blackjacks.
Drummer Roy Webber joined Wes Westons Bluesonics in 1994, and since then
has gigged with Big Joe Louis, Little George Sueref, Johnny Mars & Gwyn
Ashton.
At other times Roy has sat on the drum stool withThe Animals, Eddie & The
Hotrods, The Yardbirds, Gary Moore's Band, The Big Town Playboys & Paul Lamb &
The
Kingsnakes.
Mike Adcock is the band's keyboard player, a virtuoso New Orleans stylist.
He's also
one of the top Zydeco accordion players in the UK.
This is going to be a "get down and boogie" night, so bring your dancing
shoes!
THE CADILLAC KINGS appear at The Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, on
Thurs 16th Dec. Doors open 8 p.m., when tickets will be available on a first
come first served basis.
