If you're not into the blues you may not be going to the first night of the Southsea Folk & Roots Festival tonight (Thursday), to see AMOR, supported by THE CONTINENTALS. So if you're not into the blues but you do like Celtic Music & Formation Drinking, why not head for The Tap in North End, Portsmouth and see FATHER JACK? As FJ's usual vocalist and spoonsmeister J.R. is running the Southsea Folk & Roots Festival he won't be there, but Tony, a PROPER Irishman, will be taking over as vocalist that night, so it looks like it's going to be a great evening! And don't forget, Stacey from FATHER JACK will be hosting a session at The Florence Arms - the official Southsea Folk & Roots Festival pub - on Bank Holiday Monday. commencing at around 8.30. p.m. if you're not going to the AYNSLEY LISTER BAND concert at South Parade Pier! N.B: Mr. Stacey is the only living banjo player in England who carries a governerment health warning.....
