Thursday 19.8.04 ROBIN BIBI BAND - Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Robin Bibi is a seasoned professional and one of the finest blues guitarists in London - artists he has backed include Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and Ben E King. Having paid his dues' working as guitarist for other artists and bands he embarked on a solo project before forming the Robin Bibi Band in 1996. Blues, funk, soul, rock, reggae and jazz are all rolled together in The Robin Bibi Band's own concoction. The live line up is a tried and tested trio format which gives each member the space to stretch out and express themselves musically, with a highly entertaining stage presentation. Because their growing reputation and the Robin Bibi Band are becoming one of the busiest bands round the Southern music venue circuit, and have succesfully broken into the festival scene. The band's live album 'Blue Thrash Therapy" received excellent reviews and extensive airplay, whilst the recent studio album 'Language Of Your Soul' further explores the band's song writing prowess THE ROBIN BIBI BAND appear at The Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Southsea. on Thursday 19.8,.04.
