This Thursday (8th April) at The Bullfrog Blues Club, Southsea - Memo Gonzales and The Bluescasters - Tex-Mex Dynamite! If you've seen Memo Gonzalez & The Bluescasters on their last two visits to The Bullfrog Blues Club or at "Blues At The Fort", you know that Thursday's gig at the Bullfrog is going to be a stormer! This is one of the very best bands you'll ever see anywhere, and we're delighted to welcome them back to The Bullfrog Blues Club, on South Parade Pier, Southsea. . Memo Gonzales & The Bluescasters started back in 1995 and play a high energy mix of blues, swing, and rock 'n' roll. They perform about 120 concerts a year, mainly in Europe, and have appeared in numerous clubs and at countless festivals. The band are Memo Gonzalez from Texas, the big man with the fat harmonica and the powerful voice; Kai Strauss' plays amazingly intense guitar mixing blues with a myriad of styles, whilst Erkan Özdemir's beat-up bass guitar and drummer Klaus Schnirrin holds the groove. Memo Gonzales & The Bluescasters run the whole gamut of the blues, from Texan roadhouse blues, danceable Louisiana rock 'n' roll, all the way back to the roots of the blues, to roots influences,but what makes them truly great is their style and the fun they have. I defy you to keep in your seat whilst these guys are playing! Memo Gonzales and The Bluescasters appear at The Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Southsea on Thursday 8th April.
