Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Southsea, Thursday 25th September

The Dutchman  Ad Van Meurs, also known as "The Watchman", describes himself
as "a man marooned on an island in the mid Atlantic, somewhere between Ostend
and Graceland".

The Watchman has a well founced reputation as  one of the best bluesmen to
come out of Holland, with a guitar style not unlike Stefan Grossman. The
Watchman  comes highly recomended by his good friend Claude Bourbon, no stranger to
the stage at The Bullfrog Blues Club!

The Watchman has shared stages with Peter Green, Rory Block, The Texas
Tornados, The Jayhawks, Richard Thompson, Michele Shocked, Townes Van Zandt and many
others, and his eight albums have  been produced by such legends as Joe Boyd
(REM, Fairport Convention, Nick Drake) and Jack Clement (Jerry Lee Lewis, U2,
Johnny Cash).

This promises to be an interesting evening exuding  pure class.
