MO THOMAS - The R.M.A. Tavern, Friday, 31st October.
Over the last six months, The R.M.A. Tavern in Cromwell Road, Eastney has
gradually become one of the top "real" music venues in town.. It has been so
succesful that duriing November the pub is closing to enable the public bar,
where music events are held, to be enlarged.
The last performance until the end of November will be Friday 31st October
when Mo Thomas, the talented blues guitarist & singer from the Southampton
area, appears.
Although this is his first time at The R.M.A. Tavern, Mo has appeared in
Southsea before, notably at The Bullfrog Blues Club and this year's Southsea
Folk & Roots Festival. Mo also appeared before a sell out audience of 2,000
at “Blues At The Abbey” at Titchfield this year, when he opening for The
Holmes Brothers.
Entry is free.

THURS. 6th Nov.: THE PETE HARRIS BAND at the THE BULLFROG BLUES CLUB, SOUTH
PARADE PIER, SOUTHSEA:
On Thursday THE PETE HARRIS BAND from Southampton appear at The Bullfrog
Blues Club on South Parade OPie, Southsea, after performing a great gig on the
blues day of this year's Southsea Folk & Roots Festival.
This Southampton-based band has been together in its current line-up since
Autumn 1996 and is enjoying a growing reputation. Featuring Pete Harris on
vocals and guitar, the band also boasts keyboard, harmonica, bass and drums,
producing an irresistible blend of swing, funk and down-home blues.
Pete Harris has performed on stage with many American blues artistes, notably
Phil Guy, Lowell Fulson, Mojo Buford (ex Muddy Waters Band), Byther Smith,
and Carrie and Lurrie Bell. He has appeared on BBC Television and many times
on local and national radio.
