Updates to Fringe Events for the coming weekends music promoted by Southsea Folk & Roots

Details of the fringe events taking place this wekend have been updated to
take account of some last minute revisions.

Fringe events are free:

Friday 24th August
The Auckland Arms, Netley Road, Southsea, 
*Andy Broad's "Festival" Blues Jam*

This years Jam takes place at the Auckland Arms, our new jammin' venue. It
will be "electric" in nature, but that's not to say there wont be a couple
of acoustic interludes, so blues players of all persusuations are welcome
(if not *required* to attend ;-)) 

The host band will be The West Side Blues band featuring Andy Broad, Barry
Leaney, Time Nowell and Tim Pepper.

Thse jams have been getting bigger and better each year so come doen and
make this the best yet!


Saturday 25th August -  Afternoon (3pm)
The Auckland Arms, Netley Road, Southsea,
*Robin Bibi*

A regular at the Bullfrog Blues Club, Robin is always popular, and appears
solo at the Auckland arms for an intimate afternoon session.

Saturday 25th August - Evening (9pm)
The NBE CSA Club, Onlow Road, Southsea.
* Saiichi Sugiyama Band *

This event has been moved from the RMA and now takes place at the "Dockyard
Club" Saiichi play great blues rock with overtones of cream....

Sunday 26th August - 6.00 till 8.00
The NBE CSA Club, Onslow Road, Southsea
Dan Ogus, Ade Cull & Glen Malo

The interlude between to two main gigs on the sunday will be filled with a
free concert from 3 very different guitar player singers, heavy wood, folk
and mississipi blues!
