The Southsea Folk And Roots Festival Blues Jam - Friday 28th August

It's the ninth annual Southsea Folk & Roots Festival this weekend and
the first event for me is the annual Blues Jam at The Florence Arms,
Florence Road, Southsea on Friday 28th.

I host the Jam every year and this year the Jam will take place in the
public bar of the Flo, and will probably follow the format of the
regular monthly Sunday lunchtime jams, which means an informal, acoustic
/ light electric blues jam, with the emphasis on the jamming (rather
than an open mic). All players of all abilities are welcome, and fine
just to listen too! P.A. limited Back Line is provided, but if you want
to play electric it would help if you can bring your own (small) amp to
give maximimum flexability on who can play with who!

Drummers: we can't do a full kit due to space and volume restrictions
but your welcome to bring a snare or perhaps a djembe / bongo / over
percusion instrument.

We'll probably have loadsa guitarists, but all others instruments,
harmonica, sax, piano, jews harp, accordian, banjo (if you must) etc
are welcome!

Jamming will kick off at about 8:30 setting up from 7:30 so please try
arrive somewhere in between if you want to play. If you do turn up late
I'm sure we;ll fit you in.

See you there, and look forward to Jamming with you!

Andy
