As in previous years we are looking for enthusiastic mucisians to busk on the Pier during the festival, this helps raise funds, cover the buskers expenses ( and meybe even make them some money :-) and most importantly create the festival "atmosphere". Small groups of instrumentalists work particularly well, then sounds of squeeze boxes and violins carry very well up and down the pier, but any one can give it a try. The festival daytime events take place on Saturday 25th August - Folk Sunday 26th August - Folk Monday 27th August - Blues There is an obvious tendancy for blues player to play the blues day and folkies on the folk days but there is no reason why there can't be crossover, in fact any form of music is welcome. If you are interested please email the busking coordinator at busker@barkingspider.abelgratis.com we'll then send you details of how to register, nothing to formal we just need to keep track of who's where. (After thought you needn't play an instrument, unacompanied singers etc would also be welcome).
