Hello Welcome to this months news letter! **Burnt Ice CD Launch, The Barn, Milton Road, Weds August 11th** The big news this month is that Burnt Ice have recorded a new six track EP and we are having a CD release at The Barn @ The Milton Arms on Wednesday 11th August. In fact it's a combined release for the Burnt Ice EP and the recent live CD "Blue Grafitti" from Andy Broad and Chris Shaw. To that end Burnt Ice will be joined by guest saxophonist Chris Shaw for the night. We will Glen Malo's tribute to Mississippi John Hurt, "Message From Avalon" as support. The Barn now has a full PA system, proper stage and lighting and so makes an excellent venue for us. Admission is only £3.00 and tickets are available from The Milton Arms Front bar, Saraband in Goldsmith avenue, or online from www.broad.ology.org.uk (the buy button is just below the poster image) The Burnt Ice EP features six tracks including a new original "Holding These Feelings" and a new cover of Albert Kings 'I'll Play the Blues For You' as well as a few familiar friends from our set. Music starts 8:30 get in touch if you'd like to sit in. Friday 27th August The Florence Arms Southsea Folk Festival Blues Jam The Annual Blues Jam that spawned the monthly sunday sessions. Guarenteed to be a great nights entertainment! Saturday 28th August - Afternnon The Musketeer Lymington Beer Festival featuring Andy Broad and Chris Shaw Blues with saxophone, this where we receorded our fantastic CD Blue Grafitti, so expect a great afternoons blues music. Monday 30th August Southsea Folk Festival Blues Day Burnt Ice - Onstage about 14:30 Raw Funky Contemporary Blues **Saturday September 18th Festival Elouges De Blues - Belgium Burnt Ice ** Yep were of to Belgium, really look forward to it!
