Welcome to this months newsletter, The months almost over date wise, but this last week is so busy it deserves a news letter to itself! I'll helping out at the Southsea Folk & Roots Festival over the weekend, "staging managing", jamming and performing a solo set, and I have a few gigs scattered in as well, read on.... *Gig List* Wednesday 26th August The Kings Arms, Dorking Andy Broad - Original Acoustic Blues Always have a great gig at this great venue in Dorking! Friday 28th August 8:30pm The Southsea Folk & Roots Festival Blues Jam hosted by Andy Broad The Florence Arms, Florence Road, Southsea The annual blues Jam has come round again, all players and listeners welcome. Acoustic / light electric / small percussion type of country and urban blues jam. All players of all abilities from pro to beginner are likely to turn up and all are welcome. Saturday 29th August The Taswell Arms, Taswell Road, Southsea The West Side Blues Band. A new lineup featuring Andy Broad (guitar / vocals), Barry Leaney (harmonica), Tim Nowell (bass) and Bernis Fox (drums). Chicago blues from the west side (songs by otis rush, buddy guy, magic sam etc). A great party night for the bank holiday! Monday 31st August aproxx 12:30 The Southsea Folk & Roots Festival, Blues Day Andy Broad - Original acoustic blues. Wednesday 2nd September Nicholsons Restaurant - Albert Road (Highland Road end) Andy Broad, - solo acoustic jazz guitar latin, blues & bossa A busy week a head, see you at a gig! Andy
