Welcome to this months newsletter, got a good month coming up with trips to Wales, new venues and more, here goes with the giglist: ***Gigs:*** * Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July Two Rivers Festival, Chepstow, Wales. Rocks And Gravel - Andy Broad, Matt Beckwith and Adam Franklin. Rocks and Gravel is the new name for the festival trio (and also the title of our eponymous first CD release) and this the gig we've been warming up for over the last couple of months. Friday night we appear on the main stage, in the Castle itself, Saturday we are performing in town, and on Sunday we are headlining the Bandstand stage overlooking the cliffs on the river Wye. http://www.tworiversfolkfestival.com/ * Tuesday 10th July Kitsch n d'or - Eldon Street Southsea Andy Broad - Solo Jazz Guitar. * Thursday 12th July - 8pm start. The Oval - Oval Road, Croydon, Surrey. Andy Broad - Solo Acoustic Blues. First gig at this venue, been chasing it for just over a year so your support would very appreciated if you can make it up there... * Friday 13th July Cafe Rouge - Gunwarf Quays - Portsmouth Phil Jones & Andy Broad - Jazz Guitars Change of week due to Chepstow festival. (usually on the first Friday). Phil features other great local jazz players on the other Fridays so get down and check it out! * Tuesday 17th July Kitsch n d'or - Eldon Road - Southsea Andy Broad - Solo Jazz Guitar * Thursday 19th July The Angel Inn - Market Street - Poole. Great venue, great atmosphere. * ***Other News:*** On July 20th at the Kings Theatre I'll be changing my head to that of soundman for a intimate concert from Julie Felix at the Kings Theatre as part of the Stage 2 summer season. More info and tickets from http://www.kings-southsea.com/main/whatson_0708.htm On July 28th Della Perret (sax player for Burnt Ice) will be playing with her band Sweetedge at the Nell Gywne in Southsea. Sweetedge features Della original material with singing and playing guitar along with James and Paul on Drums and Bass. (P.S.. sorry if I got the bass players name wrong there :-) I'm working from memory).
