Welcome to the Portsmouth Blues Newsletter for September 2005. This is another busy month, starting straight away with the first studio session for Amndy Broad's new CD. Here's the line up of events. Thursday 1st September - Little Village Music - Andy Broad Recording Session Heading out to Tony Farinha's studio in the middle of rural hampshire. 20 songs have been selected for recording so it's gonna be a busy day! Friday 2nd September - The Neptune Hove - Andy Broad Acoustic and Electric Urban Blues Back once gain at this favorite of venues. A great place to drink real ale, and listen to the blues. Will no doubt be playing some of the material recorded the day before. Saturday 3rd September - The Crown, Littlehampton Andy Broad and Matt Beckwith. Acoustic and Electric Urban blues with added harmonica! Matt Beckwith joins Andy for a short notice booking, expect a mixture of Delta and Chicago, a blend of eclectic acoustic and electric blues. Sunday 4th September -The Red White & Blue - Andy Broad Acoustic Blues Tried this venue on a Sunday for the first time in July, it worked really well, come down early for a chilled evening of acoustic blues. Friday 9th September - Private party (Wedding) - Phil Jones & Andy Broad Jazz Guitar You can't come to this one unless your invited! But check Phil and Andy out at the Kitsch n d'or in Southsea every Tuesday! Saturday 10th September - The Crown Littlehampton - Burnt Ice Contemporay blues with a funk edge! The last full Burnt Ice gig here was wild, come doen and make sure this one is too! Saturday 17th September - The R.M.A. Tavern Eastney - The Continentals Raw Chicago and Texas Influenced blues. Fronted by Andy Broad and Buster Wingham, this ones abit of a guitar fest. Phew didn't I say September was busy???? Hope to see some (all) of you at a gig soon!
